the second plenary session, that of the credit modification;

and the third item on the agenda that corresponds to the payment, by extrajudicial recognition, of outstanding invoices from previous years for a total value of 1.5 million euros â€.

The mayor has detailed that "the approved money will go, mostly to small and medium-sized companies, to SMEs, but also to the self-employed, to small entrepreneurs who had provided their services and supplies to the Lorca City Council, and which were pending collection ".

Diego José Mateos has insisted that "the City Council and the municipal Corporation have taken another step to try to mitigate the effects of the health crisis on our economy, both for merchants, freelancers and entrepreneurs, but also for workers who they depend â€.

The First mayor thanked all the municipal groups for "the support received" and maintains that "we will continue to adopt measures of a social and economic nature that will support the way out of this health crisis".

As for the sectors to which the pending invoices correspond, they are mainly services, such as electricity and water, as well as works, such as all those that had to be undertaken as a result of the episode of torrential rains last September, DANA, and the amount of which amounts to almost 250,000 euros.

From the City Council it has been pointed out that "the transfer orders for the payment of said invoices are from this morning at the bank, so that the providers could start receiving the money today."
