Emergency services have had to rescue and transport to the hospital last morning a trucker who has been seriously injured when he was caught in the load of his vehicle at a gas station located next to the Saprelorca industrial estate, in Lorca.
The 1-1-2 received, at 3.56 hours, calls from the aforementioned gas station, reporting that a trucker was injured and trapped between bags of potatoes in the box of his truck.
Patrols of the Civil Guard, a Mobile Emergency Unit were mobilized to the site with health personnel from the 061 Emergency Management and Health Emergencies and firefighters from the Consortium for Fire Extinction and Rescue of the Region of Murcia.
After being rescued from inside the truck bed, the victim was stabilized and transferred by ambulance to the "Rafael Méndez" hospital in Lorca, who was polytraumatized.
The incident was reported to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Murcia Region.
