The councilor for districts, Agriculture and Livestock of Lorca, Antonio Navarro, took stock, this morning, of the disinfection campaign that is being carried out in the municipality, specifically "there have been three fumigations that have already been carried out in the districts, thus reaching all corners of our broad municipal area. "

Antonio Navarro recalled that "this initiative is counting on the disinterested collaboration of around 70 tractors, made available to the City Council by the farmers and ranchers of our municipal area and who are rotating weekly, and for which they have been used more than 4,000 liters of sodium hypochlorite, which means more than 200,000 liters of disinfectant. "

Navarro explained that "these massive disinfection works that are being carried out in the districts are being reinforced with the daily work of the personnel of the Municipal Service of Parks and Gardens, in addition to Limusa and Civil Protection personnel who are also carrying out work on Daily disinfection in the areas where the greatest influx of people is registered, such as pharmacies, health centers, grocery stores, or bank tellers, among others.

The mayor of districts has reiterated that "all these works could not have been carried out without the collaboration of our pediatric mayors who are the people in charge of coordinating all these actions that are giving us such a good result. We also want to thank all the neighbors their understanding and that they are following all the precautions that we send them when carrying out the fumigations, such as closing doors and windows, not leaving pets on terraces or patios, nor clothes hanging. the farmers and ranchers who, after their normal working day, change the implements of their tractors and put themselves at the service of their neighbors, carrying out these disinfection works in a disinterested way ".

Lastly, Navarro Pérez highlighted "the important role that the agrarian and livestock sector is playing in the face of this health crisis, first for not stopping supplying the markets, increasing their work rate, and second, making available to the authorities all the means they have to help in the fight against the coronavirus, and there have also been many companies that have donated cleaning products that they had stored.
