The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has taken stock of the sanitary and protection material that the Municipal Council has delivered to professionals in health, safety and essential services, also channeling the immense solidarity of the residents of the municipality and the donation of a multitude of protection elements.
Mateos explained that "from the City of Lorca we have distributed among the health, security and essential services personnel of our municipality more than 30,000 masks, 33,000 gloves, 20,000 screens and protective visors and 1,200 gowns".
The First Councilor has detailed that "specifically, 10,000 surgical masks have already been distributed in the centers of the municipality that make up Health Area 3 and due to the great demand that the market is suffering, there are still pending receipt and delivery of another 5,000 surgical masks, 3,600 ffp2 and 500 ffp3 ".
"In addition, thanks to the collaboration of hundreds of neighbors who have wanted to contribute their bit in this health crisis that affects us, they have worked on the creation of 20,000 screens and protective visors and another 20,000 cotton cloth masks that have been distributed in pharmacies, companies and shops ".
Mateos Molina has revealed that "we have also delivered 5,400 leggings and shoe covers, 1,800 caps, 100 divers, 7 infrared thermometers, 7 fumigators, 4 removable roofs for health centers and 500 liters of bleach to carry out the disinfecting solution for many of materials and infrastructure ".
The mayor of Lorca has indicated that "in the five health centers that we have in the municipality (Centro, San Diego, La Viña, Sutullena and La Paca), as well as the Suap de Sutullena and the Rafael Méndez University Hospital itself have received more than 10,000 masks, 100 divers, about half a thousand leggings, more than 500 caps, as well as 400 liters of bleach as a disinfectant and 6 spraying machines.
