From mid-March on www.lorca.es, a prominent section on coronavirus was enabled, with, among others, links to the websites of the international, national and regional health institutions, as well as the most notable preventive measures taken by the Lorca council.
The councilor for the Information Society and Transparency of the Lorca City Council, Irene Jódar, took stock, this morning, of the number of visits and users of the municipal website www.lorca.es registered during the last month.
Jódar has detailed that "between March 12 and April 13 a total of 107,319 visits have been registered, of which 28,272 correspond to the home page of the portal and 20,362 to the 'Coronavirus Information' section".
The Edil explained that "during this month there has been a significant number of visits to the news section among which the contents related to the closure, by the City Council, of social venues, canteens and playgrounds (published on March 13 and which has received 5,060 visits); the start-up of the rest area enabled for transporters and truckers in the Francisco Artés Carrasco football stadium (from Friday, April 3 and which has had 4,702 visits), as well as the installation by the Murcian Health Service in the Campillo office of the first center in area III for coronavirus tests (from March 22 and with 3,701 views) ".
Jódar Pérez highlighted "the good reception by Internet users of content such as disinfection work in the most popular areas of the districts (3,289 visits); the temporary suspension of the application of the ordinance that regulates the ORA (1,705 views ); or the collection of the 'car seal' during the state of alarm (1,432 visits); as well as the precautionary closure of all municipal sports facilities (published on Thursday, March 12 and which registered 1,078 visits during the last month) "
"The information regarding initiatives launched by the City Council to make the days of confinement more enjoyable, such as the # MuéveteencasaLorca project to facilitate the sports practice of Lorca, has had 1,039 visits the news in the last month."
The Councilor for the Information Society recalled that "from the first moment of the health crisis, the City Council launched an information campaign to provide the population with the basic recommendations to prevent the spread of the coronavirus or COVID 19, in accordance with the instructions from the health authorities, and also to avoid any risk of bad practices and unfounded alarms.Information campaign that was carried out by the press, radio and television, as well as through the official social media profiles of the city council, in addition to the municipal website ".
Jódar Pérez explained that "we launched a special section highlighted on the home page of lorca.es dedicated to 'Coronavirus Information', where direct links to the most outstanding preventive measures put in place by the city council have been included. As for example, the 'Rest and Provisioning Area for truckers and transporters' in Artés Carrasco; the 'Psychological Support Service' of the Department of Emergencies for essential workers; the free telephone number enabled by Social Services for the management of needs basic that come from the crisis, the reinforcement campaign for the telephone attention of women victims of gender violence, or the solidarity account launched by the City Council to channel all donations and aid.
In this same section of 'Coronavirus Information', the mayor has indicated that "direct links to the website of the World Health Organization (WHO), to the Ministry of Health, and to the Ministry of Health of the CARM. In addition to a document by way of balance with all the measures that have been taken by the City Council during the last month related to the health crisis, distributed by competencies. "
"In addition, the website publishes municipal news related to the management of the health crisis by the Lorca City Council every day, with press releases and photographs that are distributed daily to the media."
Irene Jódar has specified that "regarding the sections that do not have to do with current affairs, during this last month there has also been a significant number of visits to sections related to public employment (3,379 visits), with the Administrative Assistant Oppositions (2,340); or with the service of prior appointment for the enumeration (1,398); with the Oppositions, agent of the local police in the Mobility modality (767 visits); or the 377 visits registered in the Municipal Register Section ".
