| After the first moments of frustration at not being able to hold their procession this year, the Paso Blanco de Lorca wanted to convey a message of solidarity and optimism for Easter | From the lorquina brotherhood various activities were prepared for whites and whites to participate and feel Easter, but the most important of them had a solidarity aspect.

Every year the whites and whites celebrate their big day, Good Friday, going from early in the morning to see its owner, the Blessed Virgin of Bitterness, and buy a white carnation.

This carnation remains all day pinned on the lapel of the brother until the time of the procession, when they are thrown to the Virgin as she passes loaded with promises and requests.This year, the brotherhood wanted to collaborate with the current situation by launching a solidarity campaign under the slogan "This year the Virgin wants carnations to be for those who need them the most." In this way, all whites have been asked to enter the voluntary amount of their carnation in an account for the purchase of FFP3 masks, achieving the acquisition of 1,000 units that have been delivered to the Rafael Méndez Hospital in Lorca.However, the solidarity of the confreres has gone further and more than € 14,000 has been raised to date, so with the surplus from the purchase of masks, 500 liters of olive oil have been purchased, 500 cans of tuna in preserves, 500 cans of canned mackerel and 500 cans of canned sardines which have been donated to the Caritas Commissary in Lorca, to whom a check of € 2000 has also been delivered for children's food.

Likewise, a second batch of 1000 FFP3 masks has been ordered for the Lorca toilets.
