The City Council of Lorca consults with the social and economic agents of the municipality on measures to help companies and the self-employed to mitigate the effects of the health crisis (19/04/2020)

"For his part, Isidro Abellán has stated that "faced with this situation, we all have to contribute our proposals to reduce the effect that this situation may have on our neighbors.

The objective is that the City Council can work in a planned way so that aid or measures that are made available to companies by the different administrations are not incompatible or any impediment arises when justifying them.

"Abellán reiterated that "from the beginning, from the City Council we are in contact with the business community to see what are the difficulties that are being presented to them to take note in order to study possible aid, which will be consistent with reality and that , from the local administration, in collaboration with the regional and central, can be launched.

"The City Council insists on working in coordination with all the agents to prepare this package of measures that allows the local economy to continue operating and resume work activity once the coronavirus health crisis has been overcome, being clear that our business fabric, formed both by large organizations and by SMEs and the self-employed, it needs the support of the Consistory with the implementation, among other measures, of non-refundable aid lines.Lastly, Morales stressed that "our involvement in this cause is maximum and we want to involve all institutions, political forces and all social and economic agents to join forces and generate positive synergies, ensuring that the negative effects are the least possible for our freelancers, merchants, hoteliers and businessmen from Lorca, and we will do it as always, working in coordination with all the administrations: autonomous, national and European, so that this situation improves as soon as possible.
