Today we can say that "it is over",An issue has been closed thanks to the work carried out by the Popular Party both in the City of Lorca during our years of local government, and from our political training in the management of the Ministry of Development, having the personal commitment of our president Fernando López Miras.
It is evident that hisFulgencio Gil has indicated that "we said we would do it, and the time has come." It is not excessive to indicate that the process of justifying these aids has supposed the most difficult administrative task that the regional administration has had to face, probably in the democratic period.
The complications, as we all know, have been constant, as we were facing a situation that had never been experienced, and one that we hope will never happen again.
However, the effort of so many years already has its reward, and we give the definitive folder that 5,300 Lorca families were waiting for.
Faced with each problem, we have been able to articulate the solutions required by the moment, with the sole objective of helping those affected by earthquakes.
It is a piece of news that we can all congratulate ourselves on, and,Within the crisis that we are going through at the moment because of the coronavirus, today we can affirm that it is a good day for Lorca.We must point out that thanks to the Decree of the Regional Government of Fernando López Miras, and to the work of the Ministry of Development, all the aid received is justified and we put an end to the process of justification of the repair aid.
Uncertainty is over.
We also give tranquility and security to more than 5,300 families from Lorca, who ran the risk of having to repay the aid granted for exclusively bureaucratic reasons.
We Lorca have spent many years recovering normalcy after a tragedy that changed our lives, but today, after a highly complex task, the concerns related to this issue for the beneficiaries of the aid are over.From all the governments of the Popular Party we have undertaken the largest reconstruction process carried out in Spain after the civil war, and for this we had to activate the largest battery of aid that has managed to raise and transform the city.However, we have that there are still other questions that have not been answered, in this case by the current socialist government of Spain.
The people of Lorca have to know that the regional government, due to the inaction of the central government of the PSOE, has also extended the term to carry out and justify the reconstruction works by 3 years.
A term that ended on December 31 without the Government of Spain allowing more time.
In this way, families now have the time they need to justify the aid and complete the reconstruction works.The efforts promoted by the PP from Lorca have also managed to solve a problem that affected more than 400 families, who had their works done but lacked justification, so they ran the risk of having to return aid due to inaction by the Government from Spain.
The government of Pedro Sánchez is, without a doubt, the one that is behaving the worst with those affected by the earthquakes.
He has not been able to do anything about this matter, and has limited himself time and time again to go "in tow" of what was asked of him from Lorca and Murcia.
His indolence has been outrageous, and his total passivity.
But Lorca does hurt us, and we have demanded of all administrations without looking at the political sign.
That is why we demand from the State more commitment to those affected by earthquakes,and that it condones the interest of delay derived from files of reimbursement of the aid, something that has been demanded for two years, which was when the Regional Government did it.
