Lorca, April 28, 2020.- Vox Lorca requires the City Council to adopt measures as soon as possible to help merchants and hoteliers to overcome the crisis caused by the coronavirus.
Commerce and hospitality are not only an economic activity, but also play a fundamental social role that forces us to ensure their survival. With this objective, Vox proposes the issuance of the "Bono-Lorca", vouchers-vouchers in support of local commerce and hospitality.
The shops and hospitality shops are closed due to the Coronavirus and need help to meet their current expenses.
They need the support of the institutions to survive this crisis. How does the "Bono-Lorca" work? We propose the initial issuance of 2,000 voucher vouchers to the municipality of Lorca that can be exchanged at any of the shops and hospitality establishments that have previously adhered to the "Lorca with its merchants and hoteliers" campaign.
With this initiative, the residents who acquire these vouchers-bonds support the establishments of the municipality. The vouchers will allow the owner to save 25% on purchases or consumptions made at local establishments. The vouchers of the campaign "Lorca with its merchants and hoteliers" will be valid for one year. These bonds will have an amount of 30 euros, but will allow purchases or consumptions worth 40 euros. Up to two bonuses can be accumulated to make the same purchase or consumption as long as they exceed 100 euros. The proceeds will be delivered to the businesses and premises associated with the campaign.
These will thus have immediate liquidity and citizens will enjoy discounts on their future purchases. Once the campaign has ended, with the total sale of the bonds issued, several thousand euros will have been put into circulation, which will directly affect the shops and stores in Lorca that have joined the initiative.
The City Council will pay this difference between the purchase price of the bond (30 euros) and its consumption value (40 euros).
In addition, it will carry out a campaign to promote the “Bono-Lorca” in local media. The need for rescue bonds is urgent.
