The Emergency and Civil Protection Service adapts its resources to maximize support in the fight against the coronavirus in Lorca (21/05/2020)

The Councilor for Emergencies and Civil Protection of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has taken stock of the contributions that, so far, have been made by the Emergency Service in the fight against the coronavirus. Casalduero explained that "in a first line of action, with the aim of reinforcing self-protection mechanisms to guarantee maximum safety for service workers and volunteers and, to the extent possible, for workers in other essential services, The building located in the Comprehensive Emergency and Protection Center of Lorca was adapted, which previously used 061 as the headquarters of the Civil Protection volunteer group in order to have a second operational building in the event that any member of the staff turned out to be infected and minimize contact through physical separation reducing the risk between staff and volunteers.
