The City Council of Lorca continues with the fumigation work to control mosquito populations (21/05/2020)

The pest control service is open to any citizen who has detected an outbreak of mosquitoes, or any other pest, such as rodents or cockroaches, among others, and who can communicate it through 968 466542. The Councilor for Health of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has reported the fumigation work scheduled for tomorrow, Friday May 22, in the morning from 7 to 8 hours. The mayor of Health has reported that, within its powers to control pests of pests in the municipality, it will continue to carry out, as in recent weeks, in addition to other points of special incidence, a new treatment with adulticides in the river bed as it passes through the city, therefore, it is recommended that the population not use this area for walks or physical activity until 10 am ". The councilor recalled that the arrival of high temperatures favors the proliferation of insects, so from this council we are reviewing and treating weekly with larvicides other areas such as the municipal pools of La Torrecilla, the old complex La Quinta, the puddles that are produced in the Calvary area, the scuppers of the different gardens of the municipality ". Finally, Ponce Díaz recalled that "during the last weeks many of our neighbors are going to the riverbed to enjoy their walks, play sports or accompany their pets to run and enjoy themselves."
