I Online Training Seminar on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation to avoid contagion by coronavirus (27/05/2020)

It is a pioneering initiative in the Region of Murcia with the aim of providing the best assistance at critical moments while guaranteeing maximum security for members of Emergencies, Civil Protection or Police. The Councilor for Emergencies of the Lorca City Council, Isabel Casalduero, has announced the celebration of the 1st Online Training Seminar on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in coronavirus, a pioneering initiative in the Region of Murcia. Casalduero explained that "one of the effects of the highly contagious Covid-19, the one known as coronavirus, is severe acute respiratory syndrome and, in response to this pandemic, different organisms have come to carry out a systematic review of the risks to which It is mainly faced by health personnel, but also any subject who performs tasks as a rescuer in cardiac arrest.

" The Councilor for Emergencies has detailed that "from the review carried out with respect to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation techniques, a series of recommendations have been derived that seek to provide maximum safety to the rescuer who, by performing CPR maneuvers, is exposed to the spread of coronavirus.

These recommendations they address issues of recognizing cardiac arrest, asking for help, post-recognition, initiating the maneuver, and public access defibrillation.

" Casalduero Jódar has indicated that "tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, the first online CPR training seminar at Covid-19 will be held through the Public School of Emergencies and Civil Protection in Lorca, and it will explain the maneuvers of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, that is to say, the procedure of action when giving first aid to an unconscious and breathingless victim, who should be considered as a 'possibly contagious victim' and is addressed to the staff of the Civil Protection Volunteer Association, Emergency Service or Local Police of Lorca ". The Councilor has revealed that "in a pioneering way in the Region, a training course has been launched from the Department of Emergencies and Civil Protection of Lorca on how to act in a cardiorespiratory arrest situation until the arrival of the teams of health emergencies because this pathology, which arises suddenly, if attended to immediately increases the chances of survival exponentially ". Isabel Casalduero has specified that "to carry out the seminar, the technical staff of the Department of Emergencies and Civil Protection will illustrate the attendees in a series of preventive measures as well as to carry out a correct placement of the Personal Protective Equipment to begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
