22 days after the monographic plenary session on COVID-19, the current local government has still not published the actual bases for accessing "alms" for the self-employed, hoteliers and merchants (27/05/2020)

The spokesman of the Popular Party in the municipality of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has shown his disbelief at the fact that, today, after 22 months have passed since we got the Municipal Council to hold a monographic plenary session to approve aid to For those groups affected by the coronavirus crisis, the current local government has still not published the regulatory bases for what have come to be called "municipal alms." Fulgencio Gil has indicated that the bases are not yet available, in fact, we have not seen them because they have not been published despite the fact that almost a month has passed since the extraordinary plenary session.

They have even launched to announce to the media that the bases were already ready, but this is not the case, confirming that there are many doubts to be able to give legal and administrative coverage to these "alms." Given this chaos, we have been forced to go back to the mayor's office this morning asking for these bases, but we still do not get a response. The PP leader has stressed that the reality is that this model imposed by the current PSOE government was born badly, without any consensus and turning its back on the affected groups.

So much so that both the Chamber of Commerce and Ceclor and the Platform of Autonomous Workers have severely criticized, noting that they are "alms, insufficient, humiliating, very deficient and ambiguous", in addition to "vague" since, literally "the business sector expected a much more ambitious plan " From the PP we agree that the city council should have made a much greater effort.

Instead of limiting themselves to delaying the payment of taxes, they had to have deducted and / or exempted them, as has been done in almost all municipalities. We are going to continue demanding the mayor of the PSOE and his group the aid that hoteliers, merchants and the self-employed need, instead of this outdated and insufficient model that they have unilaterally imposed with the rejection of the productive fabric and the Lorca families.
