PP: 50 families from Almendricos continue to be unable to contract the electricity supply for their homes (01/06/2020)

| "Because of the inability of the PSOE mayor" | Mr Mateos and his group decided to break the agreement closed by the PP with Iberdrola because they did not like the site for the transformer, but they still do not offer any alternative for the site.Time will prove us right and in the end they will have to correct their decision as irrational and lacking in common sense.

They don't waste timeThe Councilor for Works and Services in the city of Lorca for the Popular Party, Ángel Meca, has demanded that the mayor of the PSOE rectify and immediately cede the use of the land to locate the transformer on the plot that the Popular Party we already prepared.

They have been making excuses and false accusations for many months against the work that we left on them.

The truth is that time will prove us right and in the end they will have to correct their decision as irrational and lacking in common sense.

They insisted on applying their burnt land policy and destroying the projects we left for Lorca, and this was precisely one of them.We demand that the completion of the repair and expansion works of electric lines in La Fábrica, Casanova, Trasvase and Nueva streets, all located in the Almendricos deputation, be immediately unlocked.

The PP channeled an investment of € 83,000 to carry out the works necessary for this purpose, which included an agreement with Iberdrola to install modular equipment that allowed those affected to have a regular supply of electricity.

The current local government forgot about the matter and ignored the problem, causing serious damage to the residents. The mayor of the PSOE has made us all lose a year due to the ineffectiveness of municipal management, which in the specific case that today we are forced to publicly denounce, means that after all these months, dozens of families from the hamlet de Almendricos continue to be without regular electricity supply due to an ineffective and indolent government group, which continues to turn its back on the problems of the neighbors instead of solving them.

It has been a long time since the PSOE mayor's group gave us as an excuse that they were not going to put the transformer in that plot because it was near a school module, however, they deliberately hid that this module is going to be moved to the new location of the educational center, where the rest of the units are already located. The question is that the mayor of the PSOE decided as soon as the local power reached to break the agreement that was already closed with the corresponding energy company to install the transformer that was going to solve the problem and allow the affected families to connect their homes with electric light , since, also because of a terrible management of the PSOE in 2005, these citizens were forced to supply themselves with work light. From the Popular Party we managed to close an agreement with Iberdrola, through which the use of municipal land was ceded by the city council to install the transformation that the neighbors need, and the aforementioned company faced its cost.

However, the PSOE mayor, when everything was ready, opted to break the agreement without offering any alternative, again leaving those affected abandoned.

We are talking about a team that barely occupies a space of 11 m2 and is not a problem at all for any nearby property. We are acting with absolute loyalty and political responsibility with the current mayor, and we have explained to him how the situation is and the serious problems that the neighbors have.

However, instead of finding a way out, the matter has worsened, and Iberdrola has already warned the victims that it has to cut off the supply to their homes. We must remember that this action was definitively awarded almost a year and a half ago for an amount of 83,000 euros, including the implementation of a new electrical transformer to provide these homes with a low-voltage line.

We are talking about the execution of underground pipelines for electricity distribution networks in this area of ??expansion of Almendricos, classified as Unconsolidated Urban Land, which currently are fed by temporary air networks in the area with temporary supply .This project is fully executed with the exception of the aforementioned electrical equipment, which prevents the affected families from contracting the definitive electricity supply and abandoning the provisional contract that they maintain for this supply, and on which they had received successive threats.

cutting.

The current situation is that, after losing the agreement that we left them, the current local government has not moved to find a solution in this regard.
