The PP requires the mayor of the PSOE to allow the textile sellers in the market to work from tomorrow on in the Huerto de la Rueda and in the districts (03/06/2020)

| The de-escalation process regulations expressly indicate that this group of self-employed workers could have resumed his work already last May 25 | However, the incomprehensible veto of the current mayor prevents them from recovering their only source of income. The Councilor for Citizen Participation in the city of Lorca for the Popular Party, Mari Huertas García, has denounced that there are dozens of Lorca families whose income depends exclusively on the sale of textiles in the markets of our municipality, which are still denied totally unjustified the possibility of resuming his professional activity.

Okay, so far we have come, the ineffectiveness of the PSOE mayor and his failed and exhausted government is hurting Lorca.

They have everything stopped, and the case of the freelancers who work in the traditional markets of Lorca is a hurtful example.

We are talking about people who are not allowed to work by the exclusive and unilateral decision of the socialist mayor. There is no objective reason to prevent these self-employed workers from resuming their activity, in fact, the regulations established for the de-escalation process state that they had to have resumed their activity last week, both on Thursdays in the Huerto de la Rueda and in all the markets that take place in our districts. The mayor of the PSOE is coming very late to multiple issues, and this matter in particular can not stand any more.

The unpredictability they are showing confirms that they neither have a project nor know how to manage.

We demand that tomorrow, Thursday, these freelancers be allowed to recover their work, it is well to exclude and hinder the development of the professional work of a group whose income depends on this issue. Over the last few weeks we have been forced to publicly denounce to the media the terrible management of the socialist mayor with regard to market issues.

Each market that is prevented from attending because of it is a real "blow" against the economy of dozens of Lorca homes.

From the Popular Party, we managed to resume the weekly market on Thursdays, pressing before the city council and transferring the concern of the group of market vendors, and we also managed that, despite the absurd resistance of the PSOE mayor, the markets were resumed of districts. Mari Huertas García has insisted that the Thursday market in the Huerto de la Rueda should already be adequate to the new circumstances, expanding the area that it uses to that which is actually available.

Hardly a very small area of ??the Garden is used, and we request that the stalls can be located, for example, in the area that remains open, as well as in the tent that also remains empty, and even in the car park operated by Limusa in front of the mentioned enclosure .

In this way, more stalls could be installed, even more respecting the established distancing measures, and at the same time allowing all the vendors in the market to resume their activity. We have been from the first moment transferring the problems of these workers, who in their almost entirety are self-employed and enterprising with a family character, because we share their problems and are sensitive to the difficulties they are experiencing.

The PP has had to be the one "driving" a government group that is stagnant in indolence, slowness and with a degree of passivity that is extremely damaging in the current circumstances.

They are not able to deal with this issue with the efficiency and seriousness it deserves. We do not disrespect anyone, others are failing to carry out their political work and the consideration that the self-employed deserve.

From the PP we demand that the mayor of the PSOE rectify his opposition and that these professionals can reassemble their stalls in the market immediately tomorrow, both in the Huerto de la Rueda and in the rest.

The stability of many Lorca houses is being played with, and that is something that we cannot allow.
