"Antonia Pérez has pointed out that "taking into account the consequences that this pandemic is also having for education and increasing the digital divide, from the City of Lorca we ask the Autonomous Community, and its president, Fernando López Miras, to join this agreement, whose actions will begin during the first quarter of this next academic year, 2020-2021 ".Pérez Segura has detailed that "the program establishes the implementation of assistance platforms for teachers and students through the application of Artificial Intelligence promoting a more personalized education: with personalized itineraries for students, more effective monitoring of their progress and a individualized analysis of its evolution by the teaching staff ".For this reason, Pérez said, "we ask the Community to sign this agreement, so that the children of our Region can benefit from these actions that will mobilize 260 million euros, of which 190 million euros will be through Red.es (184 million FEDER funds) and 70 million by the Autonomous Communities, to provide devices and connectivity to publicly owned centers, which in turn will put them toprovision of the most vulnerable students, through loans, devices that facilitate digital education both in person at the center and from home. Finally, the Councilor for Education of Lorca has reiterated that "this program was born from the need to respond to the reality that the health emergency has revealed and is none other than deepening the digitization of the educational system, as we remember that with the closure of the centers, many vulnerable students could not continue their learning process because they did not have the appropriate device, connectivity or tools to do so.

A situation that has also affected teachers who have had to make a great effort to adapt to the circumstances, with almost no room for maneuver.
