"The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported the participation of agents of the staff of the Local Police of Lorca in a training day aimed at police from the municipalities of the Region of Murcia that have joined , this year, to the VIOGEN system launched by the Ministry of the Interior, to reinforce the fight against gender violence.The mayor of Citizen Security recalled that "Lorca became a pioneer municipality in the Region last February, being the first city with more than 50,000 inhabitants to implement this protocol to ensure maximum protection for victims through of the coordination between the State Security Forces and Corps ".José Luis Ruiz Guillén explained that "16 municipalities in the Region of Murcia have already joined the VIOGEN system of the Ministry of the Interior", which we recall "is a computer tool that brings together the competent public institutions in this area, integrates the reporting cases, monitoring and protecting victims, predicting risk or taking preventive measures in the event of incidents or events that could endanger the integrity of the victim.
"Ruiz Guillén stressed that "in addition to training officers, coordination between the various security forces is essential to fight gender-based violence at the hands of highly trained institutions such as the Civil Guard and the National Police.
