A total of 115 establishments in the municipality obtain authorization for the installation or expansion of their terraces thanks to the procedure implemented by the City Council (03/07/2020)

The mayor of Heritage, Isidro Abellán, has highlighted that "it has been a joint administrative work of the Heritage Service, the Urban Planning Area and the Local Police, carried out in a little over a month and a half, which has also had the collaboration of the Department of Commerce ". The Councilor for Heritage of the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán, took stock, this morning, of the procedure for the expansion of terraces launched by the Lorca municipality last May. The mayor of Heritage has indicated that "the objective of this measure was that the hotel establishments could expand as much as possible the space of their terraces to maintain the greatest number of tables of the hotel establishments." Isidro Abellán has detailed that "so far a total of 126 authorization requests have been submitted for the installation of terraces (or for the expansion of the space already authorized), taking advantage of this exceptional and transitory procedure established on the occasion of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 ". Abellán explained that "out of 126 applications submitted, 115 have already been authorized, that is, that there are a total of 115 hospitality establishments in Lorca that have obtained the relevant authorization." Abellán Chicano has highlighted that "it has been an administrative work, joint of the Heritage Service, the Urban Planning Area and the Local Police, developed in a little over a month and a half, in which we have also had the collaboration of the Department of Commerce ". The Councilor for Heritage recalled that "from the first moment it was clear from this government team that, attending to the demands of the hoteliers of our municipality, we should implement the appropriate security measures to maintain as many tables as possible in bars and restaurants and that, at the same time, that they comply with the sanitary measures that maintain the reduction in the number of infections by Covid-19 ". The objective was "to make the hoteliers of Lorca more profitable to open their establishments to return to serve their clients, after almost two months closed and to gradually recover their normal activities, always respecting the rest and well-being of the neighbors and neighbors.

" It should be remembered that this procedure seeks to make the implementation of terraces on public roads more flexible.

Specifically, the measures include the authorization to the hoteliers, by means of a responsible declaration, of the expansion of the space to be able to maintain the number of tables and chairs that were authorized prior to the decree of alarm status as long as the area where they are located, have a sufficient safety surface. Lastly, the Councilor for Heritage recalled that "this process continues to be open to all those hoteliers who need it.
