Fulgencio Gil describes as "brutal aggression against ranchers" the motion approved by the mayor to suspend the granting of any type of license to all types of ranching (06/07/2020)

The PP expresses its full support for those affected, and will support the actions they decide to take.

Taking over livestock is a "historical and hysterical" mistake, a consequence of the unspeakable pacts with which Mr.

Mateos stormed the mayor's chair. The spokesman for the Popular Party in the municipality of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has expressed unconditional support for the livestock sector in the face of such brutal aggression that the current mayor of the PSOE has approved through the motion with which he will indefinitely suspend all licenses to livestock farms for all kinds of animals (not just pigs), whether for expansion, modernization or new construction.Fulgencio Gil has affirmed that what they have approved is "a shame", and we demand that the PSOE mayor rectify and immediately withdraw the motion that he has already approved in his governing board.

This is a historical and hysterical mistake.

The PSOE mayor's own motion makes it clear that this is not a moratorium on licensing, it is an indefinite suspension of licensing.Ranchers have taken care of us during this pandemic, voluntarily providing food and disinfecting streets, and now the current local government stabs them in the back, treacherously.

Is it that they don't realize the damage they are going to do to the people of Lorca? Is it that nobody from the PSOE has stopped to think about the destruction of jobs that they will cause? It is enough to attack our people and sow uncertainty.

This affects hundreds of families, workers, transporters, workshops, feed, supplies, hospitality, commerce ...If the country does not produce, the city does not eat, it is that simple.

If livestock is burdened in Lorca, all sectors will seriously suffer.

And all this without an alternative, without a plan to restructure our economy, condemned to unemployment and the fall of the economy.Fulgencio Gil has indicated that when all the national and international organizations are already warning that we are on the verge of a real economic and labor devastation due to the COVID-19 crisis, the mayor of the socialists can think of nothing better than crush our ranchers.

It is outrageous and reckless.

The way out of the crisis cannot be to ax the farmers.Above we have had to learn from the press of this trap against the ranchers, hatched with nocturnalness and treachery, under the "stretcher table" of Mr.

Mateos, and the result of hidden and unspeakable pacts that do not transcend until they explode.

It is evident that there was a "cambalache" to assault the mayor a year ago and that the only objective they have is to keep the chair at all costs.

If they have to load the livestock, they will.

Lorca, for them, is at the service of their ideology.Does anyone recognize this PSOE, Mr.

Mateos? A radical, extremist PSOE, unmarked from the defense of the ranchers. The invoice of the unspeakable pact that Mr Mateos devised to sit in the mayor's office will be paid by the small ranchers, those of the family farms, who cannot go anywhere else, and who have decades of tradition, because the large producer you can go somewhere else and relocate their production, but they cannot. With his usual obscurantism, Mr.

Mateos held a "cover" government meeting last week to approve this measure, making an excuse that it had to be held "for reasons of urgency", when the truth is that the only urgency that has is to stay in the chair, whoever falls. The own motion approved by Mr.

Mateos affirms that "the model that we now have in Lorca has little to do with the one from 20 years ago", of course things have changed a lot, because, despite specific problems, thanks to the fact that Lorca farmers have invested millions and millions of euros out of their pocket, today the farms are more modern and cleaner.Mr.

Mateos hides that the city council has not made "sufficient efforts", when the reality is that all the political parties unanimously approved in 2012 the modification of the General Plan to extend the distances of the farms with respect to population centers.

And we must remember that in 2016 all the municipal groups reached a unanimous agreement in the Conciliation Table of the Huerta led by the PP, and when the agreement was to be ratified in plenary session, the PSOE went off the hook. They have ambushed the ranchers, and on top of that they want to subject them now to a "dialogue" that would have to end before July 23, that is, first I suspend everything, and then I demand that you negotiate under threat: first they shoot, and then they ask.

It is paradoxical that the current mayor said not long ago that in politics you cannot negotiate "with the guns on the table and under threat."Nor do we understand the attitude of the mayor of Ciudadanos, Mr.

Morales, whose political training at the regional level claims to defend the ranchers, but who in Lorca is helping to take over the sector.
