The City Council of Lorca promotes commerce and the local hostelry together with tourism (14/07/2020)

| With messages of "calls to action" at pedestrian crossings | This initiative of the departments of Economy and Tourism is part of the set of actions to promote trade and hospitality in Lorca by launching "calls to action" messages to go and consume in local establishments under the strategy of reviving the local economy through the tourist revitalization of the municipality and vice versaThe Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, and the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Economy and Tourism, Francisco Morales, have starred in the first works to paint messages at different pedestrian crossings in the municipality to encourage shopping and enjoy the hospitality of our municipality.Some pedestrian crossings in Lorca have begun to show messages of support for local trade and hospitality thanks to a campaign by the Lorca City Council.

Thus, on the main streets and commercial avenues of our town, messages may be read in order to underline the importance of acquiring products and consuming in small and medium-sized companies based in the municipality.The Mayor of Lorca stressed that "this very visual initiative is intended on the one hand for Lorca and Lorca, who walk daily to work in these central streets, but also to those who visit us from other neighboring towns, yes, complying with all the security measures set by the health authorities.

One more initiative, launched by the departments of Economy, Commerce and Tourism that can be seen in different parts of the municipality.

Francisco Morales wanted to show his gratitude to the Department of Citizen Security, headed by José Luis Ruiz Guillén, for the collaboration in the painting of pedestrian crossings through the Local Police.Specifically, three pedestrian crossings of Avenida Juan Carlos I, Avenida Europa and Príncipe Alfonso will be decorated; two in Alameda de Cervantes, Avenida Adolfo Suárez, Nogalte and Jerónimo Santa Fe; and one in calle Mayor, Armed Forces, Santa Clara, Virgen de las Huertas, Camino Viejo del Puerto, Lope Gisbert and Pérez Casas.
