| The coverage of the Rambla de Las Chatas ends after the summer | The Autonomous Community concludes the works in the La Salud-Cristo Rey neighborhood of Lorca, which have led to an improvement in the accessibility and mobility of its neighbors with the La Viña neighborhood, and have included the comprehensive renovation from Guillermo Oliver Street to Guadalentín River, and from Rubén Darío street to Carretera de Granada. The general director of Territory and Architecture, Jaime Pérez Zulueta, accompanied by the mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, visited today the neighborhood in which the Community has already invested more than 1.5 million euros, to which 500,000 will be added euros to cover the Rambla de Las Chatas, which is scheduled to end after the summer, and which will create a new green area in the city. Jaime Pérez Zulueta highlighted the innovative criteria of energy efficiency implemented in the work that will suppose a minimum maintenance cost thanks, among other things, to the modernization of the lighting, and the new public spaces designed for the enjoyment of the neighbors. "We wanted the pedestrian to regain the prominence of the streets," said the director, who highlighted the pedestrian improvement by creating a ramp to access Tintoreros-Albañilería street from Rubén Darío street and the completion of sidewalks on the Granada road.
