| The director of the Development Institute, Diego Rodríguez-Linares, was appointed president of the Board of Directors at the General Meeting of Saprelorca | The Board of Directors of the Lorca industrial estate (Saprelorca) has agreed to contract the drafting of the project for the expansion of some 78 hectares in its southern area.

The objective is to strengthen the installation of new companies and consolidate this industrial space for job creation on the Lorca-Puerto Lumbreras axis. The director of the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia (Info), Diego Rodríguez-Linares, who was appointed president of the Board of Directors by the General Meeting, stated that "Saprelorca's career is an excellent example of good management practices of industrial spaces, by prioritizing an orderly development with a commitment to innovative companies endowed with abundant services and a clear vision of the future ". Currently, there are more than 215 businesses installed in the Saprelorca industrial estate, which generate 9.6 percent of the municipality's total employment and 24.1 percent of the aggregate turnover of the municipality of Lorca.

The planned modification will allow the land annexed to Saprelorca to be requalified by its southern boundary, with an approximate area of ??78 hectares which, together with the total urbanized area of ??1,825,875 square meters, will favor the consolidation of the LorcaPuerto Lumbreras axis as a pole of economic activity. The new president of the Board of Directors and director of Info, a partner organization of reference in society with a participation of close to 50 percent, stressed that "we will put all our efforts once all the appropriate administrative procedures have been completed according to the Public Sector Contracting Law to accelerate the project and streamline procedures, so that space is available to companies in record time.
