The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has positively valued the decision of non-confinement due to the control of the Covid-19 outbreak detected in the municipality. Mateos has reported that "from the City of Lorca we value very positively the decision that our municipality will not go back to phase 1 or other restrictive measures will be adopted." The First mayor explained that "the speed of the response that has been given, both from the City of Lorca and from the Autonomous Community, in the face of the alarm of a possible increase in contagions by coronavirus has taken effect and is allowing to control the outbreak detected in two nightlife venues in the municipality ".
