Ruiz explained that "the PM10 particle level measurement station located in our Lorca has collected, on July 28 and 29, the measurements of 56 µg / m3 and 52 µg / m3 respectively, levels that exceed the limit recommended by the General Directorate of Environment of the Autonomous Community ". The mayor explained that "in addition, last Friday, July 24, according to the pollution records of the regional air quality website, the Lorca station collected a measurement of 55 micrograms per cubic meter (µg / m3)." Ruiz Guillén has indicated that "in all three cases we are facing level 1, the prevention level, of the Protocol of the PM10 and NO2 framework, but it is expected that these levels of particle concentration will be reduced in the coming days." The Councilor for the Environment has insisted that "to alleviate this rise in the concentration of particles, produced by the natural movements of air masses from Africa, the Lorca City Council recommends optimizing actions such as the rise in temperatures in the air conditioners of houses and public buildings, thus minimizing energy consumption, the use of public transport when traveling and the use of deterrent parking lots on the outskirts of the city to avoid, as far as possible, stops and starts abrupt, efficient driving, avoid burning stubble and agricultural margins as well as other preventive measures in relation to health, such as not doing intense physical exercise outdoors, are some of these recommendations.
