This situation had not been seen in the city in decades and decadesThe Councilor for Health in the city of Lorca for the Popular Party, Mayte Martínez, has publicly denounced this morning the serious problems that hundreds of people from Lorca are suffering due to the excessive proliferation of all kinds of insect and rat pests throughout the municipality, presenting today seriously worrisome incidents in at least fifty communities of owners scattered throughout the town, in addition to those who are also suffering in various districts.The problems of infestation of flies and mosquitoes, ticks, bedbugs, cockroaches, crickets, mice and rats are affecting at least fifty homeowner communities in the urban area.
They have already contacted the current mayor and his group to report what is happening.
According to those who have transferred us, we are not talking about specific incidents, much less common.
This is not what happened every year, it is a true plague that has never been seen before, neither in the districts nor in the urban area.For several weeks, the Popular Party has been informing the Mayor of the Socialists of the concern that exists among citizens about these unfortunate events.
However, instead of going to work to solve these unpleasant problems, Mr Mateos's group is limited to throwing balls outside, avoiding any responsibility, and, consequently, the plagues have increased markedly.
Proof of this is that, as it has been transferred to us by the residents of fifty communities of owners located in the urban area, the presence of these animals has jumped from the streets and squares into the homes.It is evident that there is more than negligence in this matter.
This is not, as Mr Mateos affirms "a campaign to damage the image", this is a serious problem, which they have given rise to because they have everything stopped and have turned their backs on the needs of Lorca.
The examples that those affected have given us are innumerable: roach and cricket pests by dozens of buildings throughout the city, abundant presence of rats, which previously could be seen in broad daylight running around the streets, and now they are already entering inside the houses.

Today the entire municipality is dirtier than ever, less well guarded and without the most basic maintenance of its streets and public spaces.
All this despite the fact that we Lorca pay more taxes than a year ago and that, paradoxically, the city council now has more money than ever thanks to the economic management developed by the PP during our years in office.It is unpresentable that, instead of having intervened in essential, basic and remarkable public utility aspects, such as pest control in public spaces, Mr.
Mateos has decided to spend 420,000 euros out of pocket of all the people of Lorca to buy electric cars .
Clearly, there are much more priority issues than that.
