Diego José Mateos points out that "the agreement must be reached between the Lorca City Council, the Autonomous Community and the neighbors themselves, and we hope that it can be solved as soon as possible". The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has reported the meeting held this morning with the residents of San Fernando who demand their right to live in the San Fernando neighborhood. The mayor of Lorca has pointed out that "as we explained last week, a letter had been received from these eight families that we urged to meet whenever they wanted and this morning this meeting was held with the main objective of finding a solution and that, in some cases, these neighbors have to officially prove that they are the owners of their houses.

" Diego José Mateos maintains that "we are working on the preparation of the specifications to be able to access these homes, and it is clear that all these families must also, like the rest of the citizens who so wish, meet a series of requirements to be able to opt to the flats, as there are other people who have been given their houses, contributing their own money to rebuild their homes.

" Mateos Molina has reiterated that "we are looking for a solution for all these neighbors and that they can access any of the homes available to the City Council or the Autonomous Community, always paying the stipulated price once the planned administrative processes are established". The Mayor has indicated that he hopes that "in September everything can be finished and, once consulted with the rest of the municipal groups, the specifications can be put out to tender and that these neighbors can access the houses."
