In fact, during the last weeks we are suffering with particular uncertainty the evolution of the virus in our municipality.
We must point out that a task of containment is being carried out by public administrations whose results we are beginning to see with hope.
However, the fundamental part of the responsibility for this true fight against COVID-19 belongs to each and every one of Lorca.The vast majority of citizens are complying with the rules, which is today the best vaccine against the virus that we have.
It is impossible to understand how it is possible that there are still some irresponsible people who put everyone's health at risk by skipping the quarantine or neglecting the measures imposed to stop the spread of the virus.
Their attitude puts us all in danger, and administrations have to prosecute and punish such nonsense with particular harshness.The people of Lorca are playing a lot in the political course that begins today, but that really for the Popular Party constitutes an extension of the past, since there has been no rest for our management and control activity in the town hall.
The socio-economic and labor effects of the coronavirus crisis are being noticed, and in what way, in our municipality, but the reaction of the current local government is manifestly meager, insufficient and clumsy.Since this legislature started, the Popular Party has been developing an incessant task of responsible municipalism, even leading priority issues that the current mayor should exercise, but has ignored it.
One of the most important examples of this reality is the development of the "Lorca Responde" Plan, which offered a forceful solution to help Lorca families, self-employed, hoteliers and merchants in the face of the serious social consequences of this pandemic.
We were the first to put on the table the need to carry out a response plan for the people of Lorca, and the current mayor, instead of accepting our proposal in a constructive manner, directed us expletives and disqualifications that portray the political stature of the person who poured them.
.And of those powders, these muds: they turned their backs on the people and approved measures that deserved the unanimous rejection of the affected groups and that no one has yet charged.We consider a real scandal, and a resounding failure of the current mayor, that of the million euros that Mr.
Mateos announced in aid to the productive fabric, only € 300,000 will be delivered.
In the midst of the crisis, when people most need help, Mr.

Faced with the worst crisis, and instead of allocating it to help people, they spend such a fortune on cars.
Let each one judge for himself.People have already realized that Lorca is much worse today than 14 months ago.
The degradation affects all the municipality, the neighborhood complaints due to the lack of maintenance, come from everywhere, and nothing has been solved.The feeling that reigns in Lorca is that of a deep disappointment with the current government, both because of the ineffectiveness, and because of the treatment they receive when they transfer their requests.
14 months later, people ask for change because they have also had time to verify that the only projects that continue are those that we leave prepared from the PP.
In fact, there is no work, even medium-sized, that the current mayor can be attributed.
A resounding failure.Lorca deserve a city council that works for them, that solves their problems, and that has real capacity to react to the crisis that we have above.
We, from the Popular Party, have amply proven experience in management.
We know how to do things, overcome crisis and recover the economy and employment, and we will continue to collaborate with our citizens to move forward.For this reason, the first measure that we have demanded is that the city council officially and institutionally reject Pedro Sánchez's decision to snatch the more than 6 million euros saved by all citizens in the municipal coffers.
Lorca have to say no to this looting.
Thanks to the management of the Popular Party in our city council, we have overcome very difficult years economically, having to apply austerity and efficiency measures in municipal spending, overcoming very dark episodes and a gigantic debt, and now that we have managed to straighten the ship and to place the city council in a positive economic situation, Pedro Sánchez wants to take our savings.Given this evidence, it is incomprehensible that Mr.
Mateos has become a firm defender of what has already been called "Robbery of the municipalities." Mr.
Mateos is defending the PSOE from the first moment instead of the Lorca, and with this matter he shows it again.We are directly opposed, because before the political acronyms, there are the people.
That money has to be used to help people cushion the effects of the crisis that affects us, and we, from the Popular Party, are going to propose that it be used to carry out a generalized reduction in municipal taxes.We are talking about a measure of social justice, which would help reduce the tax burden borne by Lorca, and which has skyrocketed due to the decision of the socialist government to also take away the 50% IBI bonus.
Where the money is better, it is the people's pocket, and that is what we are going to request.
This is also the best social policy that can be done, because this is how jobs are created, this is how people are really helped, encouraging the economic movement and supporting our entrepreneurs.The Popular Party requested on August 19 the holding of this extraordinary plenary session, the date of which must be set in the next few days, since the law requires that the plenary session be held within 15 days of our request.The investments of the Popular Party, go ahead.Fulgencio Gil has affirmed that, given the passivity and inoperability of the PSOE, the regional government of the Popular Party does continue to carry out large-scale projects that truly improve Lorca.

Estamos hablando, sin duda, de la obra más beneficiosa que se va a ejecutar en nuestro municipio, atendiendo al alivio que va a suponer para descongestionar el tráfico.
Esta rotonda concentra el tránsito de vehículo de la salida de la autovía, que fue muy mal diseñada en su momento por el PSOE, y cuyos perniciosos efectos seguimos soportando todos los lorquinos.Esta obra constituye un revulsivo urbanístico para los barrios de San Antonio y La Viña.
Se encuentra en una zona que se ha convertido en lugar de implantación de numerosas formas comerciales, de cadenas de tiendas de alimentación y populares firmas de restauración, que quedará liberada de los actuales problemas de tráfico, gracias al impulso del Partido Popular.Huelga decir que desde el PP vamos a estar muy atentos a lo que sucede con las mejoras urbanas en Jerónimo Santa Fé, tramo 1 de la ronda y Camino Viejo del Puerto, donde, como siempre hemos hecho, vamos a exigir que se cumplan los compromisos adquiridos con los vecinos.
Se trata de acuerdos que ya se alcanzaron en su momento, y ante los que no vamos a aceptar excusas.
