The Councilor for the Environment and Citizen Security of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has taken stock this morning of some of the problems caused by the strong storm released yesterday Wednesday in some areas of the municipality of Lorca at around 4:00 p.m. The mayor of the Environment and Citizen Security has referred first to the problems of water stagnation that were registered in the RM621, known as the old Águilas highway, and that endangered road safety in this area ". Ruiz Guillén explained that "the remodeling of this road dates back to 2015, so we ask the Ministry of Development of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, as the owner, to demand that the construction company solve the hidden defects that they cause these problems of water impoundment every time it rains, even if it does so in small quantities, and that they are being verified after the delivery of the work and once the warranty period has expired.

" The Councilor for the Environment has also referred to "the detection of a possible polluting spill, specifically in the Rambla Alta, next to the Saprelorca Industrial Park, for which minutes were drawn up and samples of contaminated water were taken, by Local Police.

In addition, today the complaint will be transferred to the Water Commissariat of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) ". Finally, the Councilor for Citizen Security has stressed that no personal or material damage had to be lamented and the different municipal devices were working to solve the incidents that the amount of water dropped, up to a total of 15.2 liters in one hour, according to the CHS rain gauge installed in the City of the Sun, they caused, above all, traffic ".
