Fulgencio Gil points out that the course of the Guadalentín River constitutes the most shameful example of the absolute abandonment of functions of the socialist administration, which has the support and indolence of the mayor of Pedro Sánchez, despite complaints from the neighbors.No promenade has been cleaned by the CHS, despite the fact that in August 2018 the current mayor and the president of said body, both from the PSOE, promised the implementation of a plan to clean all the channels of the municipal term.The deputy spokesperson for the Popular Party in the Lorca town hall, Ángel Meca, has denounced that the Segura Hydrographic Confederation has not cleaned a single boulevard in our municipal area during the last two years.It is clear that the situation in the boulevards of Lorca is much worse today than a year ago.
The channels are full of weeds, garbage, debris, all kinds of belongings, which constitutes an accumulation of elements that would prevent the correct evacuation of water in the event of rainfall episodes, not only heavy, but moderate.
They have not cleaned anything, they have not watched the riverbeds either to prevent them from becoming rubbish heaps, and now the worst month of the year is upon us, the period of greatest risk because very intense rains are usually registered.The boulevards of our municipal area are a danger because of the negligence of the CHS and the indolent complicity of the current mayor.
We strongly demand that a crash cleanup be undertaken urgently in our municipality.
We have heard that the CHS is going to spend 8 million euros on cleaning boulevards, and we demand that these interventions begin in Lorca, and today better than tomorrow.
We have to regret that the current mayor and the president of the CHS, both from the PSOE, promised in Lorca two years ago that they would prepare the channels, which was an absolute deception.
They promised in 2018 a crash plan to clean up all the boulevards, but they have done nothing.We are facing an exercise in irresponsibility that we have been suffering year after year.
They have had more than enough time to, at least, have intervened in some public channel, but they have stood idly by.This is absolute recklessness on the part of Mr Mateos and his fellow CHS socialists.
It cannot be that Lorca is always the great outcast of the Hydrographic Confederation.
We have a very broad municipal term, but they have not acted anywhere, not near the town center, or in any district, or in boulevards, boulevards or large channels, absolutely nothing.
Thus, we Lorca have been left unprotected before the arrival of storms, DANAS or torrential rains.This abandonment by the PSOE is even more incomprehensible considering how badly we had it in September last year, a tragedy that not even a year has passed and some have already forgotten.
At this point in the year we will have to be aware of the weather again, and praying that we are not affected by heavy rains, because neither the current mayor nor his socialist colleagues from the CHS have done their job.The city council can do more, and it has to.
The riverbed of the Guadalentín, as we have been denouncing for more than a year, is a true "River Basura", which, in the event of an avenue, represents a serious danger and would generate high risk situations for citizens.
We all have in our minds what happened last year with the accumulation of reeds and weeds on the bridges of the city of Murcia, and it is a pity that neither Mr.
Mateos nor his socialist comrades from the CHS have not learned anything from the experience.
.It is unpresentable that no official complaint has been transferred by the current mayor, because, as we know, the one who is silent, grants, and we are not going to resign ourselves, as others do, to the CHS insisting that Lorca be the eternal marginalized when it comes to cleaning boulevards to prevent flooding.What cannot be is that after spending 800,000 euros on cars, paid with the tax money of all Lorca, Mr.
Mateos comes to us with the excuse that he cannot do more.
Because it is going to do more, more and worse: deliver more than 6.5 million euros of the savings of all Lorca residents to Pedro Sánchez, although we will try by all means to force his resignation to this nonsense.And while the current mayor gives away the savings from the town hall to Pedro Sánchez, his government not only does not spend a penny on cleaning the boulevards, it is that on top of that it has taken away a third of the water that should be coming from the transfer, so the punishment of the Ministry of Ecological Transition against Lorca is double, and always with the applause and praise of Mr.
Mateos.What the city council is having to do now, cleaning some sections of urban boulevards, is nothing more than a patch that solves absolutely nothing, because the real problem continues to be in the absolute abandonment that the CHS has made of its obligations.
