The Lorca City Council announces the transfer of the Covid-19 point from the San Diego health center to the facilities of the old Limusa car park, in front of the Huerto de la Rueda (09/09/2020)

The mayor of Lorca has indicated that "from the Lorca City Council this offer was made to the Ministry of Health due to the need to move this sampling point to another place, which would meet better conditions, as is the case of the car park located in front of the Fairgrounds and for which the Consistory will take care of all the equipment: tents, modules, internet connection for computer equipment, etc ". Diego José Mateos explained that "all this operation, in which we are already working, could be ready in a few days, it is also an enclosure that will not generate any kind of annoyance, since it has sufficient capacity to install a circuit for the entry and exit of vehicles and also of people, thus avoiding any type of collapse ". The First Mayor recalled that "the San Diego health center is one of the ones with the highest workload at present, and for a few weeks the red level has been found, a distinctive decreed by the Murcia Ministry of Health, which means that it is not possible to enter the interior without an appointment, and that one must wait outside to enter, for the previous triage, in addition to the PCR tests that are carried out in the afternoon.

" Diego José Mateos has explained that "the objective of this transfer, on the one hand, is to avoid saturation and crowding by patients who come to the health center itself, who will resume their normal activity on the afternoon shift in a few days; the other is to avoid possible problems due to the proximity to the facilities of the IES Príncipe de Asturias, which will resume its teaching activity from next week ". Mateos Molina stressed that "this is good news, the result of coordination and work with the Murcian Health Service (SMS), to which we have also offered to transfer the tests to be carried out at this Huerto de la Rueda car park.
