The City Council of Lorca asks the Ministry of Education to advance the PCR tests to the teachers who will begin the course this coming Monday in the municipality (10/09/2020)

The councilor, Antonia Pérez, has regretted that "this should have been one of the first issues that should have been addressed in the return to the classroom protocol, and it has not been like that." The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez, has asked, this morning, the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous Community of Murcia to carry out PCR tests on all Lorca teachers who join their job. The Councilor for Education has pointed out that "before the imminent start of the school year in our Region, scheduled for this coming Monday, September 14, the professionals of the educational centers maintain the uncertainty of not knowing if they may be infected, thus putting at risk Not only their health, but also that of the entire educational community of the center.

" Antonia Pérez regretted that "this should have been one of the first issues that should have been addressed in the protocol for going back to school, so" we request from the City Council that these coronavirus detection tests be carried out as soon as possible , so that professionals can start this next course on Monday, September 14 with more tranquility ". Pérez Segura has been hopeful that the Ministry of Education will take into account this request, which will not only benefit teachers, but also parents and students, who will go to their educational centers.

" Finally, the mayor of Education recalled that "from the Lorca City Council we are collaborating with the Autonomous Community with the provision of municipal facilities that were necessary, such as the Municipal School of Music, the Center for Local Development, the Center of "La Torrecilla" Business Initiatives, the social premises and other facilities such as the sports pavilions of La Hoya, Almendricos, Purias, Las Alamedas and San José. Around 15,000 masks for children and adolescents have also been made available to educational centers so that all students can have this mandatory element that is the mask.

Also from the Consistory, hygiene products such as hydroalcoholic gels for hand disinfection have been collected, which will also be made available to the different educational centers, with which we will also collaborate for the signposting of the new entry and exit areas to these facilities, in accordance with current regulations for this Covid-19 pandemic
