This fact no longer surprises us, since those who until a year ago were "gurus" of citizen participation, now do not inform citizens of anything, nor do they bring them together to agree on projects, as the Popular Party did, all the times it was necessary.
They have been very well portrayed, because they have erased this cover-up investment.
This individual decision of the current mayor, without consulting anyone, leaves thousands of residents affected, who were waiting for this investment like May water.Neighbors are being condemned to wait for works that, if they are not done with the time and financing conditions offered by the PP regional government loan with the EIB, will go by for many years without even starting.
This requires immediate and public rectification.The local government of the Popular Party always included this work in the planning of investments with a loan signed between the regional government of the PP and the European Investment Bank.
This extreme can be easily verified by any citizen simply by accessing the regional budgets for the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.We must also remember that thanks to the efforts made by the PP from Lorca, this intervention not only benefited the residents of the Camino Viejo del Puerto, but also included the perpendicular and adjacent streets (Talleres, Las Palomas, Infante Juan Manuel ...

It is normal for them to feel that "their wallet has been stolen", because that is what, in short, has happened to them.The reality is that Lorca is much worse today than a year ago, the streets are dirtier, the degradation is evident, not to mention the lack of protection we suffer, despite the fact that we are paying more taxes than before.
And all this despite the fact that the city council now has more money than ever, but instead of allocating it to what is important, they are wasting it, for example, buying cars.
How is it possible that with the crisis that we have above us, the needs of the people and the social commitments of projects like this one on the Camino Viejo del Puerto, the mayor of the Socialists spends 800,000 euros on buying cars?
