| And the adoption of more restrictive measures to stop the chain of infections by Covid-19 in the municipality | Diego José Mateos: "We are going to ask the Regional Government to establish the measures they deem necessary, we do not rule out any, the most restrictive if necessary, to stop the increase in the number of positive cases."The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has once again asked for the postponement of the start of the school year and the holding of an urgent meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Health in light of the increase in infections in the municipality.Mateos explained that "after knowing the contagion data, of new positive cases by Covid, both yesterday and today, from the City of Lorca we withdraw our concern about the situation and, therefore, we have requested to the Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia, the competent body in public health, holding an urgent meeting, next Monday, with the aim of analyzing the situation in Lorca and adopt whatever measures are necessary.

"The Mayor has detailed that "we are going to ask the Regional Government to establish the measures they consider necessary, we do not rule out any, the most restrictive if necessary, to stop the increase in the number of positive cases due to Covid-19 in Lorca."Mateos Molina has insisted that "we continue to ask the Regional Government to reconsider the request that this City Council made on August 31, the delay in the start of the school year in Lorca, scheduled for next Monday, since with the latest data from contagion we are very concerned about the reincorporation of the students to the educational centers of our municipality.

We ask that this start be postponed, at least one more week, to evaluate the evolution and take the necessary measures to guarantee a 'return to school ' safe".The mayor of Lorca has recalled that "from the City of Lorca we will continue to do everything in our hands, what is within our powers, to fight against the coronavirus.

We have increased disinfection work in all schools and institutes as well as spaces of special sensitivity and attendance such as health centers, Covid points and access to supermarkets.

And, of course, we will continue to implement information measures but also sanctions, such as the latest examples of non-compliance with the health measures that been sanctioned with 60,000 euros to those premises that violate very seriously against public health ".Diego José Mateos revealed that "from the City Council we are going to continue doing everything possible to stop, as soon as possible, this chain of infections.
