Mayte Martínez: "together with the situation we are currently suffering, we must anticipate that an autumn and winter of uncertainty is coming, before which any resource that we can provide ourselves constitutes a notable contribution to fight against COVID"The Councilor for Health and Social Welfare in the town hall of Lorca for the Popular Party, Mayte Martínez, has reported that the PP has officially proposed in the consistory that the provision of the necessary training to municipal personnel be undertaken as soon as possible with the aim that we Lorca have our own team of trackers, as other Spanish municipalities have already proposed and launched.We consider that the situation that we are suffering due to the pandemic demands a forceful response from municipalism.

Our proposal is to take advantage of the extensive human and technical resources that our city council is endowed with to optimize the reaction that the administration closest to the citizen can offer to the people.

In addition to the current context we are experiencing in Lorca, we are facing an autumn and winter of uncertainty, and this resource could help us greatly.We have more than enough means to create a team of these characteristics, which ensures the safety of all Lorca, working in coordination with the rest of public administrations, and which constitutes a resource of very valuable importance to respond to any eventuality that was accurate.Mayte Martínez has highlighted the individual qualification of the professionals who lend their work to the city council, which, in addition, have made clear their high dose of dedication and effectiveness in situations of very serious danger, such as the earthquakes of 2011 and the floods of 2012, between other examples.

It is notorious that we Lorca have more than enough municipal employees to face these situations, and now we have an extraordinary challenge ahead, in front of which all the weapons and tools seem necessary, being the constitution of a local team of trackers probably the most accurate.The municipal staff, whom we have to congratulate for their daily dedication to guaranteeing the safety of citizens, has experience in disasters, continuous training and a desire for social commitment worthy of mention.

That is why we consider that it is good that part of these employees have been assigned to the disinfection of streets and public spaces, but, taking into account their degree of training to react to these situations, it is evident that their technical contribution can be of special importance developing tracking tasks.Together with municipal employees, and if necessary, we consider that our city council is in a position to create "Tracker Bags", extraordinarily incorporating personnel from its employment exchanges, taking into account that the council currently has economic resources more than enough for the savings that have been generated in the municipal coffers after the suspension of Holy Week, Fair Girl, concerts, cultural programs, festivals in all neighborhoods and districts, Fair and September Festivities, among other events.
