That is our challenge and we have to once again serve as a model for the rest of Spain, because the problems that Lorca suffers today will be repeated in other cities tomorrow.

We can all make our individual contribution because every gesture counts.We cannot close our eyes to what is happening.

It is not about falling into scaremongering, because we are going to get out of this.

But if what we want is for all this to be solved as soon as possible, we must impose an individual discipline that enhances collective protection.

We all have to do an examination of conscience, because the setback suffered by the urban case of Lorca is as much a health problem due to the spread of the virus, as well as education, civility, and social commitment.Our political training will continue to act with full commitment to all Lorca, and we will redouble our institutional work to help stop contagion in our urban area, contributing our work from municipalities, presenting constructive proposals for the benefit of all Lorca.

We are here to add, in fact, yesterday we proposed the formation of a local group of trackers and the day before yesterday that the Covid point be installed in Ifelor, a better conditioned and more comfortable location for users and toilets.Fulgencio Gil has called for us not to repeat the errors that have made us go back to this Phase 1 in the city, such as falling into the barbarity that citizens now try to move to second homes located in districts, making fun of established standards.

We must be fully aware that we have to protect our districts, and respect their situation.The fight against Covid is a real war, and it seems incredible that there are people who have not yet realized it.

But this war has a peculiarity: we are all an army and there cannot be desertions.

It is a mistake to say that the measures adopted have not worked, it is a mistake and, furthermore, it is false.

What is not working at all is the level of responsibility that some are showing.We have been told unpresentable examples of numerous people who do not pick up the phone to trackers, who skip quarantine, who do not show up for PCR tests to detect the virus, who hide from their co-workers for weeks that they are infected, and even people who have participated in family reunions and celebrations instead of attending the aforementioned tests.

We could go on and on citing such despicable and repulsive attitudes.

It seems incredible, but it is what happens every day in Lorca.Citizen collaboration to tackle this type of attitudes is essential.

If we all do our part, we can help win this fight.

An effective way is to immediately report to 112 all the situations that we detect of non-compliance with current regulations.

We encourage all people who witness or have news that something like this is taking place to immediately call the bodies and security forces of the State and the Local Police.

The sooner the better.I share the anger that many people from Lorca have brought me, that, despite the fact that we are tired of constantly repeating that we must wear a mask, wash our hands and maintain social distancing, we pass people on the streets who do not wear a mask, they do below the nose or directly on the neck.

These situations cannot be conceived in a responsible society, as it is also beyond comprehension that there are still people who organize parties with many attendees.I also share the indignation and frustration that our health workers express daily due to the situations of deep recklessness that they are finding because of people who do not comply with the quarantine, who do not respect anything and who, in short, puts us all in danger.I want to thank the work of each and every one of the people from Lorca, and especially the teachers who are doing an extraordinary job, as well as the members of the state security forces and bodies and of our Local Police and Municipal Service of Emergencies, whose contribution is key in this difficult context.Fulgencio Gil has affirmed that the Popular Party is going to propose the achievement of a consensus in the city council for the implementation of a battery of aid for the group of hoteliers, freelancers and merchants, with the aim of supporting their work with measures that really are at the height of the serious crisis they are suffering.

It is a proposal that reflects the meaning of the Lorca Responde plan, which the PP put on the table on April 13, with direct aid, tax exemptions and tax cuts.
