| The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has insisted that “we will continue to be relentless with all those citizens who do not respect health regulations, putting not only their health at risk, but also that of their family and friends ”|  The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has reported, this morning, together with the Councilor for Citizen Security, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, of the actions that the Local Police of Lorca has carried out, during this past week, related to the breach of the measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.The mayor of Lorca has detailed that “since last August 1 and until September 13, a total of 1,678 complaints have been made for reasons such as non-compliance with the mandatory use of the mask (1,035); 142 due to excess vehicle occupants; 106 correspond to complaints of meetings of more than 6 people; 46 for smoking on public roads without respecting the minimum distance of two meters; 41 for not complying with the capacity of the premises and the closing hours, and another 24 for not respecting the mandatory quarantine period ”.Diego José Mateos has also referred to the 284 complaints made during the last month and a half regarding the protection of citizen security and for violation of the municipal ordinance (consuming alcohol on public roads, making bottles) ”.Mateos Molina has added that during this time 488 controls have been carried out, with a total of 3,032 people identified and 4,773 controlled vehicles, many of which correspond to the intensive campaign to control the mobility of workers' transport ”.The Mayor has also specified that, in the last week, between September 7 and 13, a total of 573 people and 436 controlled vehicles have been identified, in addition 79 controls have been carried out.

A total of 242 complaints have also been filed, of which 120 are due to non-compliance with the mandatory use of the mask, seven complaints for non-compliance regarding the number of occupants in vehicles; and four complaints for smoking on public roads without respecting the minimum distance of two meters ”.The Mayor has recalled that “the Local Police is collaborating with the Ministry of Health, the sole health command, for the monitoring and surveillance of those cases of people positive for Covid-19 who have to respect the home quarantine period.

In this sense, during the last week a total of three complaints have been lodged for non-compliance with this measure, which is considered a very serious offense ”.The mayor has insisted that "with the entrance of the urban area of ??Lorca in Phase 1 made more flexible, the Local Police will strengthen mobility controls in coordination with other State Forces and Forces such as the National Police and the Civil Guard for the entry and exit of vehicles of the municipality, so that these are carried out according to the strictly permitted reasons ”.Finally, Diego José Mateos insisted that “we will continue to collaborate in a coordinated manner with the rest of the administrations to guarantee compliance with all these measures, as well as being implacable with all those citizens who do not respect the rules, putting at risk not only their health, but also that of their family and friends ”.
