The Municipal Corporation shows its unanimous support for commerce and the hotel industry in Lorca due to the difficult situation they are going through due to the health crisis (18/09/2020)

The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, announces that "the different municipal groups will present initiatives to the next ordinary plenary session, with measures that will be agreed upon by all and with which to help these sectors, within the possibilities that each of the administrations ". The mayor of Lorca has affirmed that "the confinement decreed by the Autonomous Community has some great victims that are commerce and the hotel industry, so we are here today the entire municipal Corporation in support of our merchants and hoteliers, who have complied, as This decision cannot be otherwise, since the health situation is the boss, but we are aware that other complementary measures must be adopted between all public administrations to alleviate, as far as possible, the great damage that is it causes them both from a social and economic point of view.

" Mateos has pointed out that "commerce and hospitality have already been greatly affected by the previous confinement and, now just when they were beginning to rise, this new decision is coming.

Therefore, they need the support of all administrations, starting with the municipal Corporation , followed by the Autonomous Community and the state administration ". The Mayor added that "once this situation improves, we will ask CARM to make an evaluation of the restrictions on the hotel and trade industry so that, when the situation begins to improve, they can benefit, since we have a hotel and a safe trade ". Mateos Molina has reiterated that "contagions are occurring right now in other areas that have nothing to do with the hospitality and commerce that are complying with all safety regulations and that they are making an effort to provide all possible equipment" .

And he has insisted that "from the Municipal Corporation, all without fissures, support will be shown in these hard days of confinement, but also when this situation remits, so that all the facilities are provided to them from all the administrations so that they can get out of this complicated situation as soon as possible.
