| The Center for Municipal Employment Initiatives organizes on Friday, September 25, a virtual meeting on employment in the agricultural sector | With the aim of addressing the employment opportunities generated by the agricultural sector in the Region of Murcia, the CIME (Center for Municipal Employment Initiatives of the City of Lorca) organizes next Friday, September 25 at 12 noon, a virtual meeting for both professionals in the sector and job seekers.During the day the job search options in the agricultural sector and the different job possibilities that are linked to agricultural production will be addressed.

Among the participants in the meeting will be responsible for the agricultural sector employment exchange promoted by PROEXPORT, Novagric and the CIFEA of Lorca (Integrated Center for Training and Agrarian Experiences, dependent on the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment).This virtual meeting, which has been promoted by the City Council of Lorca, seeks to improve the access of unemployed people in the municipality to resources and useful tools for their job search.

"It will be a meeting point in which to explore the professional profiles demanded by the sector, positions that are difficult to fill, necessary training, personnel selection channels and other advice for people looking for work or for companies that need qualified labor.

and related to this important sector for our municipality ", explained the Councilor for Employment, Training and Local Development, Plácida Gómez.In this sense, the portal represents a very useful tool for companies in the agricultural sector, which can publish their job offers on the portal and direct them to a group of workers and unemployed, who can add their profiles to this job bank, aspiring to those job offers specialized in the different professional aspects that agglutinate the fruit and vegetable companies of the Region of Murcia, mainly.The Association of Producers-Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables of the Region of Murcia (PROEXPORT), brings together 54 groups of companies and cooperatives that are leaders in the export of fruits and vegetables in the Region of Murcia.

PROEXPORT associates sell more than 1 million tons, export to 62 countries and directly employ more than 28,000 workers.

PROEXPORT has received national awards for the Promotion of Healthy Eating among Schoolchildren and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Agrarian Sector and two regional awards for Sustainable Development.
