Professionals from the Municipal Emergency Service and volunteers from the Civil Protection of Lorca will join, this week, the work of tracking and monitoring infections (21/09/2020)

The mayor of Emergencies of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has detailed that "about 40 people have participated, this weekend, in the I Basic Course of Tracking and Monitoring of People Affected by Covid-19, acquiring general knowledge about the SARS-CoV disease -2, its epidemiological impact, tracking strategies and making contact with the technological tools for the management of infectious diseases and outbreaks ". The Councilor for Emergencies of the City Council of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, explained that "during this weekend, the 'I Basic Tracking and Monitoring Course of Lorca has been held in the assembly hall of the Comprehensive Center for Emergencies and Security Affected by Covid-19 ', organized by the Lorca City Council's Emergency and Civil Protection Service in collaboration with the Public Health Service of Health Area III ". Isabel Casalduero has highlighted that "it was the first course of these characteristics held in the Region of Murcia, in addition we can also consider it a novelty at the national level, since, at the moment, there are very few municipalities that have launched initiatives in this sense". Casalduero Jódar has pointed out that "through this training action, some thirty professional personnel from the Municipal Emergency Service have been instructed, as well as members of the Lorca Civil Protection Volunteers Association, so that throughout Next week, integrate the structure of tracking and monitoring of COVID-19 patients and their contacts, which will be launched by the City of Lorca in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. The Councilor for Emergencies added that "a dozen police officers have also attended this course, to perfect the tasks they are developing, relating to the control of effective compliance with the quarantines established for COVID patients with confirmed positives." The municipal head of Emergencies has highlighted that "thanks to this course, attendees have been provided with general knowledge about the SARS-CoV-2 disease, its epidemiological impact, tracking strategies, contact with the technological tools for the management of infectious diseases and EDOSAN and SIBRE sprouts, adding to this the measures to protect the privacy of those affected, as well as effective communication techniques for tracking ". The 30 students selected from the members of the Municipal Emergency Service and the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers, respond to an academic and professional socio-sanitary and emergency profile, among which we can find, nurses, psychologists, social workers, graduates in professional training (health, social and emergency), health emergency technicians, emergency technicians and civil protection, most of them are 112 command and control operators. Isabel Casalduero has reiterated that "this course has been possible, to a great extent, thanks to the support of the entire team of the Public Health Service of Health Area III, led by Visitación García Ortúzar, specialist in family and community medicine, and technician of epidemiology". Finally, the mayor of Emergencies and Civil Protection has reiterated that "this training session is one more example of the effort that is being carried out from the City Council, from where we are not sparing means to fight this coronavirus pandemic."
