The Department of Tourism joins this relevant festival by organizing an online visit to the Synagogue of Lorca, the scene of part of the plot of the novel "Fajardo, el peso de la sangre".
The visit will conclude with the reading of some of the fragments of it by its author, Francisco José Motos from Lorca and will take place next Saturday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m. The vice mayor and councilor for Tourism, Francisco Morales, has reported on Lorca's participation in the III International Literature Week "Ex-Libris", which is held in the Region of Murcia from 21 to 27 and to which Lorca has been invited for the first time by its director, Victorio Melgarejo. This year, more than 80 free activities related to literature have been programmed in which more than 250 guests from the world of letters, music, cinema and art will participate.
In this third edition, some of the activities will be face-to-face and others online to adapt to the current circumstances derived from the pandemic, facilitating access to them from home. In the specific case of Lorca, the activities will take place in the Castle of Lora and in the late medieval synagogue, settings chosen for the online visit, since it is this place where part of the plot of the novel "Fajardo, El Peso de the blood". Francisco Morales has stated that "a Lorca Tourism guide will show the characteristics and physiognomy of the Jewish quarter of the Castle of Lorca to contextualize the fragments of the novel that the Lorca author himself, Francisco José Motos will read.
It is a totally free activity that It will be broadcast through the ZOOM application, on the Ex-Libris Murcia and Integra Foundation websites, as well as on the Lorca Taller de Tiempo social networks, in which we encourage all Lorca residents to participate ".
