The Mayor has indicated that "he was also a Councilor for Health, Consumption, Tourism and Crafts of the Consistory, and spokesman for the Government Team, so the name not only of section II of the Ronda but also of the Medical Clinic of Puente La Pía is a double recognition of her professional and vocational work, that of helping her neighbors in Lorca ". Mateos Molina recalled that "it was on April 26 that Leoncio Collado Rodríguez died in very delicate circumstances, because we were in a state of alarm due to the health pandemic that we are experiencing and, therefore, we could not make any kind of tribute to the figure of this Lorca who, due to his career and the services provided to the citizens of Lorca as a councilor, first, and later as mayor of the City Council of Lorca, is worthy of recognition for his work " . The mayor of Lorca has shown that "in addition, in this plenary session we will also recognize the immense work of defense, conservation and dissemination of the cultural and patrimonial legacy of the former municipal archivist Juan Guirao and of which we have to regret his recent loss.

For this reason , we will also approve the name of the Municipal Archive as Municipal Archive 'Juan Guirao' ".
