The City Council of Lorca will collaborate in the next feature film by the Lorca filmmaker, Dany Campos, through the cultural initiative 'Arcas Creativas' (29/09/2020)

The beaches of Calnegre and El Siscal will be some of the locations of this film work that will also have Madrid as the setting to tell the story of Victoria, a brilliant psychologist who is looking for her sister Duna at the worst moment of her professional career. The Councilor for Culture of the Lorca City Council, María Ángeles Mazuecos, has presented, this morning, a new project of the 'Creative Arches' initiative, launched a few months ago by the Lorca City Council, through this management area together with the producers Pedro J.

Poveda and Juan A.

Poveda, both from Twin Freaks Studio, and the filmmaker from Lorca, Dany Campos. The Councilor for Culture explained "this is the filming of the next feature film by Lorca filmmaker Dany Campos, entitled 'Duna', which will take place in Madrid and Lorca this October.

Filming will begin on October 2 and from the City Council We collaborate, through the 'Creative Arches' program, with accommodation and meals for the team during their stay in Calnegre ". María Ángeles Mazuecos has been very happy that "a film professional like our countryman, Dany Campos, joins this 'Arcas Creativas' project, being able to benefit from it, since our main objective is to help them get their projects out forward, putting at your disposal the facilities that we have and more in these times that we are living in a pandemic and in which we must also turn to the cultural sectors that are also experiencing it so badly.

" Mazuecos Moreno has highlighted Campos that "after decades dedicated to short film and advertising, he began his career in the world of long duration, although in 2019 he signed a guerrilla feature film made for his students of the Madrid Actors school of interpretation , where he is a professor of Audiovisual and Interpretation in front of the camera.

That work, 'Generación Selfie', had a budget of € 2,200, and was premiered at the Berlanga Hall in Madrid, at the Guerra de Lorca Theater and at the Filmoteca de Francisco Rabal Region of Murcia.

It is currently available for free on YouTube.

" For his part, the director of this project explained that "this new work, Duna, is an indie piece, or low budget, it is estimated that the production costs will be around € 12,000, light years away from the 2, 5 million of the average of Spanish cinema films. The costs of the film are so low because the entire team, both technical and artistic, renounces their salary in exchange for a share in the profits of its exploitation.

Most of the expenses correspond to Social Security registrations, equipment transportation and filming allowances ". Dany Campos has detailed that "the production is mainly carried out by the Murcian producer Twin Freaks Studio, the brothers Pedro and Juan Poveda.

And it has the participation of Actores Madrid, ARTetika Producciones and iMopic Films, Dany's independent film label.

Fields ". The filmmaker thanked the "contribution of the patrons of the crowdfunding campaign launched to defray part of the expenses.

Crowdfunding, or as crowdfunding, is one of the resources most used by independent producers to obtain resources, and we with the campaign of Duna we achieved the goal in the first eight days.

" Most of the filming will take place in Madrid, but also in Canencia, a town in the mountains of Madrid, and in Lorca, on whose unspoiled coasts of Calnegre some of his scenes take place.

And three days of work are planned for the middle of next October in Lorca, specifically on the beaches of Calnegre and Siscal. Duna, written by Alberto Sánchez Regatos, Alba Esquinas and Dany Campos himself, is a drama that tells the story of Victoria, a brilliant psychologist who is looking for her sister Duna at the worst moment of her professional career.

The search will make you understand a lot about her sister that she did not know, even about herself. The film stars Carmen Navacerrada (Victoria), a graduate in acting at Madrid Actors and with a lot of experience in theater, as well as in small parts of Spanish series.

He is accompanied by other names such as Lidya López and Noe Montejo, both also graduates of Actores Madrid, the Oriolana Elena Rayos, who makes with this the third participation in films by Dany Campos, the Galician Xabier Fonseca and the Manu Hernández from Elche who has also worked at the orders of the Lorca filmmaker on several occasions.

The film also features Murcian faces, such as Alfredo Zamora from Murcia or Vicky Sánchez from Lorca, a well-known local theater actress.

Finally, Pedro Soto, also a young actor from Lorca, is presented, who plays the role of the child Pedrucho in his first experience in front of the camera. For the Lorca filmmaker "filming in times of pandemic is undoubtedly a challenge for production, due to the uncertainty of possible new confinements and mobility restrictions, which will have to be overcome based on imagination and planning.

We have protection and hygiene products, a careful safety protocol for filming, with special emphasis on indoor locations: rapid test kits; hydroalcoholic gel on all filming sets; hand washing of all equipment before, during and after each day of filming; New masks for the whole team every day to comply with all sanitary measures.
