| After the detachment, this morning, of several rocks | The rapid action of the emergency services, Local Police and municipal technicians has allowed them to carry out a quick and successful task and begin to clear the road from first thing in the morning and thus guarantee the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.Sources from the Lorca City Council report the detachment that has occurred this morning on the paved road that gives access to the hermitage of Padrico, in the county of Parrilla, in the district of El Consejero.This event has been due to a landslide that has caused part of the slope to detach, leaving several dozen rocks blocking part of the road, invading the road and generating a serious danger to traffic.The rapid action of the emergency services, Local Police and municipal technicians has allowed to carry out a coordinated, fast and successful work, beginning to clear the road and remove the rocks that were on the road from early in the morning, thus guaranteeing the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.Different municipal services have been in the affected area evaluating the situation, as there are about thirty large stones on the slope and one, in particular, of a much larger size that carries a serious danger, therefore, tomorrow it is planned to continue with the removal, stabilization and cleaning of the area using heavy machinery that can move the rocks that are on the slope and that harbor the possibility of detachment.While these works are being carried out, the Local Police have cordoned off the area and the traffic of both vehicles and people has been restricted until the action has been completed because due to the orography of the land, it is a complicated and very laborious intervention.Finally, municipal sources appeal to the public not to travel through this area, due to the danger it entails and they propose to opt for alternative itineraries in the event that displacement is essential.
