On the 28th, the center was informed that a referral made to the referral acute hospital had been positive for COVID in a PCR test. The center decided to carry out a close contact tracing of this zero patient, receiving results on September 30.
Given the confirmation of 3 new positives, the center contacted the General Directorate of Public Health and the Murcian Health Service to proceed to screen patients and professionals, obtaining a result of 38 patients on the afternoon of Saturday, October 3 positive and 15 workers. With these results, the hospital has activated its contingency plan, and it is proceeding to sectorize the hospital and isolate affected patients in order to limit the outbreak as quickly as possible.
The center has incorporated a team of specialists that reinforces its professionals, and that has made it possible to implement a response to the incident in record time. The Hospital currently has 109 admitted patients and 165 workers.
PCR has been performed on all patients and all workers related to hospitalization, the rest of PCR on workers will be performed today, including non-essential services and auxiliary personnel.
