The mayor of Lorca explained that "in order to intensify the fight against the coronavirus and in order to maximize security measures, from the Consistory and thanks to the Local Police of Lorca and the Municipal Emergency Service and Civil Protection Over the next few days, a total of 12,000 masks will be delivered to field workers, who travel to their jobs every day using the bus.

" Diego José Mateos has pointed out that "as has been done on previous occasions, these essential items will be delivered to the different points enabled for the collection of these workers, who already use these masks, because we remember their use is mandatory, but the intention of this campaign is that they can have another replacement or replacement mask in case the one they are already using is lost or deteriorates ". Mateos Molina recalled that it is a material that the Government of Spain has sent to the City of Lorca through the Delegation of the Government of Murcia.
