The residents of the Alameda de Cervantes neighborhood have been fuming for a long time.

The fact is that there are many repeated claims to the Lorca City Council, denouncing that they cannot sleep or rest, due to the endless noises caused by the eternal traffic of buses, which from three in the morning until 7 and every working day, They happen to pick up the workers from the field.It is not a trivial matter since these migrants in need of work to eat, sleep in Lorca, however they work in very distant places, not only in this region, but in other provinces and / or autonomous communities, however they leave from this city, since they are hired by temporary work companies, from where they are nourished by labor, numerous macro companies in the fruit and vegetable sector.What has surprised us is that the Lorca government turns a deaf ear to these claims from its neighbors and not a solution to this frenzied round of buses in a central area of ??this city.

The only sanitary measure that has been applied is the distribution of clean masks to the operators, when the sanitary responsibility is also to enforce the basic protection measures; as safety distances are kept (which is not done, because the buses are full of people, that the temperature of each one is taken when getting on the transport (which is not taken), and / or demanding the use hydro-alcoholic gel.From this political group SOMOS LORCA we demand that basic sanitary measures be taken, such as those mentioned above.

And we propose as an initiative for the residents of Alameda de Cervantes to recover the night rest to which they are entitled, that workers in the agricultural sector be displaced through a public transport network from the Huerto de la Rueda and taken where the bulk of almost 300 buses do not disturb the rest of the residents of Lorca, such as the parking lot from the Artes Carrasco football stadium, for from there they are taken to their workplace.
