We find another serious negligence on the part of Mr.
Mateos in the management of the works that we have prepared and financed from the Popular Party government.
It is incredible how they have fallen asleep with this project, which has been paralyzed for more than a year, and the worst thing is that this same ineffectiveness has been extended to other cases. The work is already out of date.
We must remember that the works financed by the regional government of the PP through the loan signed with the European Investment Bank (EIB) have to be completed in December 2021, that is, within a year, while the tender period , adjudication and execution covers at least 15 months.
It is evident that things are being done very badly, that there is a great lack of diligence, and that the ineffectiveness of the current mayor is seriously putting investments as important as this one at risk. Ángel Meca has stated that the lack of transparency that the current mayor is showing with the different construction projects is unparalleled, there has never been so much concealment.
The lack of neighborhood participation is the usual characteristic of Mr.
Mateos, who neither informs nor consults the residents of this area, something that has been done in each and every one of the projects carried out by the PP. All the projects financed by the regional government with a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) have to be fully finished by December of next year, something that the current mayor knows perfectly, but he is not doing anything so that the works pending can be completed on time.
It is not necessary to remember that, if the works are not completed by that date, the money is lost, something that would be the sole responsibility of Mr.
Mateos, but whose consequences all citizens would suffer. Faced with this situation, we demand that Mr.
Mateos not waste any more time and "deign" to launch the process at once, that he inform the neighbors and collect their contributions, as has been done so far, and that correct the lack of diligence that exists with the works that the council has to carry out, because they are arriving late and wrong.
To this day, the residents still do not know when the works will begin, if they are going to include the adjacent streets (as the PP was going to do) and what the final project will be. Ángel Meca explained that the agreement for the execution of this work was signed 11 months ago and since then the mayor of the PSOE has done nothing.
The project remains blocked due to the inaction of the current local government, which has even received the money in the municipal accounts, but for a year it has been sitting idly by.
They are wasting precious time.
We demand the current mayor to expedite the processing of this project as soon as possible, because it has been too late. The reality is that the current local government is accumulating delays in executing the projects that we have prepared and financed thanks to the management of the Popular Party.
It is incomprehensible that because of his paralysis we are now all obliged to do things hastily, and even put at risk the investments that we worked so hard to get.
