The Local Police of Lorca filed a total of 147 complaints last week for breach of sanitary measures (19/10/2020)

The Councilor for Citizen Security, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has detailed that "of the total sanctions, 123 correspond to the weekend" and stressed that "this decrease in the number of infractions is due, above all, to raising awareness citizenship and the pedagogical work carried out, as well as the citizen collaboration of the neighbors committed to the correct fulfillment of these norms ". The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has taken stock, this morning, of the actions carried out, during this past week, related to the breach of sanitary measures to prevent the spread of Covid- 19. The mayor of Citizen Security has detailed that "this past week, between October 12 and 18, a total of 147 sanctions have been filed, of which the 79 for non-compliance with the use of the mask or wearing it incorrectly stand out; 19 for not respecting the traffic restrictions in urban areas; 18 for the protection of public safety; 16 for non-compliance with the number of occupants in vehicles; eight for meetings of more than six people; six for violation of the Citizen Coexistence Ordinance; and one for non-compliance with capacity, bar drinks and local closing times.

Also during the past week, a total of 83 controls were carried out; 461 people were identified and 887 vehicles were controlled. José Luis Ruiz Guillén has highlighted that "during the past week no complaint was made if due to smoking on public roads without respecting the minimum distance of two meters, or for breach of quarantines, in addition, during the past week there was a decrease in the number of the infractions of the previous week (329), thanks to the public awareness and the pedagogical work carried out, as well as the citizen collaboration of the neighbors committed to the correct fulfillment of the sanitary measures ". Regarding the sanctions last weekend, Ruiz Guillén explained that "between October 16 and 18, a total of 34 controls were carried out, 194 people and 375 vehicles have been identified.

In addition, a total of 123 complaints, of which 59 correspond to non-compliance with the use of the mask or wearing it incorrectly; 16 due to non-compliance with the number of occupants in vehicles; 16 for not respecting traffic restrictions in the urban area; 15 complaints about meetings of more than 6 people; 14 on protection of citizen security; two for violation of the Coexistence Ordinance Citizen; and one due to non-compliance with capacity, bar drinks and local closing times. Ruiz Guillén has insisted that "from the Local Police we continue to carry out various controls to guarantee compliance with these health measures, with which to bend the curve of coronavirus infections in our municipality and we continue to insist on pedagogical work to raise awareness among the population that we cannot destroy all the effort made so far and that we cannot destroy because of the irresponsibility of a small group of non-compliant citizens ". Finally, the Councilor for Citizen Security has reiterated that "in addition to all the actions related to the coronavirus, the Local Police of Lorca continues to attend to ordinary questions that have resulted in the arrest of eight people this past week (crimes against public health , related to traffic) and up to a total of 27 complaints sent to the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, related to traffic offenses.
