The general director of Territory and Architecture, Jaime Pérez, highlighted today the alignment of the regeneration of the San Lázaro neighborhood of Lorca with the lines established by the Sustainable Architecture and Construction Strategy (EACS), promoted by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure and which is based on the renaturation of the surroundings and the improvement of the resilience of the neighborhood itself.Jaime Pérez Zulueta and the mayor of Lora, Diego José Mateos, visited the works in this neighborhood of Lorca, which is executed by the City Council thanks to an agreement with the Autonomous Community to which it allocates 10 million euros from the loan it has with the European Bank of Investments (EIB)."A reforestation and a pedestrian path will be carried out that will connect San Lázaro with the Castle of Lorca", explained the director, who assured that "it will contribute to the improvement of the urban landscape where residents can enjoy the urban environment that is committed to caring for the environment encourages sports and people's health ”.
He pointed out that the hermitage of San Lázaro will also be rehabilitated, "a fundamental work for the revitalization of the neighborhood and the recovery of the city's cultural heritage."He underlined the collaboration of public administrations in the urban regeneration of Lorca and the "good progress" of the works, of which are already completed in a score of neighborhoods.
