The reality is that the Popular Party was going to do this work, and as soon as the PSOE has done with the local government, it has lacked time to load it.聲gel Meca has stated that the remodeling of the last section of the RM-D7 highway is an old demand of the residents of Marchena, after the efforts of the previous municipal government, it was included in the investments of the EIB, and was contemplated in the regional budgets of this year 2020.We must point out the work carried out by the neighborhood association in collecting the necessary land authorizations for the improvement of the aforementioned project, who have been in charge of collecting the signatures of the neighboring neighbors.

More than a year after the collection of the signatures, and given the inaction of the local government to carry out this project, we are concerned about the delay in starting this work and the deadlines established by the EIB to complete the works.From the Municipal Popular Group, we cannot allow the financing of this work to be put at stake, which has cost so much work to achieve for Lorca and mainly for Marchena.

The communication routes are fundamental elements for the maintenance and development of the economic and social activity of any territory, therefore, a good maintenance and improvement of the roads that back up the district is necessary.It is the second time that the mayor of the PSOE is caught taking away the money already reserved for carrying out improvement projects in our municipality, since the case of the Marchena highway is added to that of the residents of Camino Viejo del Puerto and adjacent streets, from which the money that was committed for the comprehensive remodeling of this area of ??the city has also been taken without prior notice.The PP demands to speed up the procedures to start the works on the El Mesillo highway.The deputy spokesperson for the PP has highlighted the high strategic value of the project to improve the El Mesillo road, the main natural communication route between Lorca and its coastal districts.

For many years we have been working to make this project a reality, and in fact we have already prepared everything to be able to launch the processing of the works in May 2019.

It is an intervention that can achieve a change in the perception of Lorca before a very prominent part of our municipal term.

The objective of the PP with this work is that Lorca and its coastal districts stop living almost on their backs because we do not have a comfortable, safe and fast connection.We must remember that in the plenary session of last January we already requested that the procedures from the town hall be streamlined to take advantage of the economic contribution that we had agreed with the regional government of the PP.The improvement of this road will make Lorca a better structured municipality, solving the current problems associated with a narrow road, full of curves, changes in elevation and inappropriate for the 21st century.

We are facing a historic opportunity.

The execution of this investment is transcendental to ensure that Lorca have a road in good safety conditions to travel to enjoy the extraordinary landscapes of both the Sierra de Almenara itself and our virgin coast.聲gel Meca has demanded that the processing of the works of the road that connects Aguaderas with Campo L鏕ez be promoted, and that constitutes the natural communication route between the urban area and the coastal districts.

Thanks to the work that we have been developing from the PP in the town hall, we managed to get the regional government to reserve an item of more than one million euros to carry out these works within the current regional budgets.From the PP we have managed to significantly improve the network of roads and highways in this area of ??the municipality in recent years, with key actions such as the construction of a bridge over the Rambla de Biznaga, an infrastructure that has involved an investment in excess of those 1.2 million euros and ends the roadblocks that had been taking place when heavy rains were recorded that caused the Rambla de Biznaga to rise.We Lorca cannot live with our backs to the coast or condemn the residents of the area to permanent isolation, so one of our priority objectives is to fix the road that connects the city with the districts of Campo L鏕ez, Morata and Ramonete.
